Fort Bend Willowridge took a 59-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of Foster. Fort Bend Willowridge has struggled against Foster recently, as their match on Tuesday was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.
Fort Bend Willowridge's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Angelo Mack, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 13 rebounds, and Kaden Davis who scored 20 points. The match was Davis' seventh in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Jakari Nettles, who scored eight points.
Foster's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Michael Swanigan, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds and three steals. That's the first time this season that Swanigan scored 15 or more points. Joshua Larkin was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with seven rebounds and six assists.
Fort Bend Willowridge's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Foster, their win bumped their record up to 2-11.
Fort Bend Willowridge will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Fort Bend Kempner at 4:00 p.m. on January 2, 2024. Fort Bend Kempner is looking to tack on another W to their seven-game streak on the road. Foster and Nimitz will round out the year against one another at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday at. Nimitz presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Foster in Texas (Nimitz is ranked 270th, while Foster is ranked 802nd).
