Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Mayde Creek). They blew past the Concordia Lutheran Crusaders 96-42 on Friday. The Rams have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matchups by 23 points or more this season.

Christian Gibson was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 42 points and ten boards. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points. Jamal Chretien II was another key player, going 9 of 16 on his way to 24 points along with six boards and three steals.

Mayde Creek was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Concordia Lutheran only posted seven assists.

Concordia Lutheran's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Semico Brown, who posted five points. The team also got some help courtesy of Loukas Naum, who put up six points.

Mayde Creek's record now sits at 10-6. As for Concordia Lutheran, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-17 record this season.

Mayde Creek didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 74-63 defeat against Iowa Colony on the 27th. As for Concordia Lutheran, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 60-41 loss against Westbury Christian on the 28th.
