After flying high against CHAMPS last Wednesday, Bert Corona Charter came back down to earth. The Knights fell just short of the Valley Oaks CES Vanguards by a score of 3-2 on Friday. The Knights' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Bert Corona Charter took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 20-25, 17-25, 25-15, 15-13.

Bert Corona Charter's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 5-2. As for Valley Oaks CES, their win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 4-3.

Coincidentally, Bert Corona Charter and Valley Oaks CES will both be playing Triumph Charter the next time they take the court. The Knights will head out to face the Jaguars at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Vanguards will head out to face them at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
