It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Lake Travis Cavaliers had no problem doing just that on Friday. They took their game on the road with ease, bagging a 48-21 victory over Johnson. Considering Lake Travis has won seven games by more than 26 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Nico Hamilton was on fire: he rushed for 184 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 8.0 yards per carry. Another player making a difference was Chaston Ditta, who rushed for 19 yards and a touchdown.
The victory (which was Lake Travis' fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-2. It's not like the team was facing easy opposition over that stretch either, as it included 10-1 Vandegrift (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 60.2% over those games). As for Johnson, their loss dropped their record down to 10-2.
Lake Travis is on the road again on Friday and play against Brennan at 3:00 p.m. on November 24th. Brennan has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 346 points over their last eight matchups. Johnson does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
