The Pace Academy Knights can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent match on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Hampton as Pace Academy made off with a 66-45 win. Given Pace Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 178th, while Hampton is ranked 422nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Pace Academy was led to victory by Ryan Wrigley and Kate Grice. Wrigley scored 16 points along with six rebounds, while Grice scored 17 points along with five rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Wrigley has scored all season. Lawson Monroe was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Pace Academy is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. As for Hampton, they dropped their record down to 5-12 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pace Academy will face off against McDonough at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Hampton, they will head out on the road to take on Mt. Zion at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
