Basketball Recap: Capitol Comes Up Short

After a string of five wins, Capitol's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They had to suffer through a 78-50 loss at the hands of the Dunham Tigers. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 136th, while the Tigers are ranked ninth).

Capitol's defeat dropped their record down to 18-16. As for Dunham, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 22-6.

Looking ahead, Capitol will welcome Holy Savior Menard at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Dunham does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
