Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Olentangy Berlin). They blew past the Olentangy Orange Pioneers 71-47 on Tuesday. Given the Bears' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 86th, while the Pioneers are ranked 344th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Olentangy Berlin to victory, but perhaps none more so than Aubrey Bashore, who went 7 for 12 en route to 18 points and seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Kelsey Grubbs, who almost dropped a double-double on 16 points and nine boards.

Olentangy Berlin was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in December of 2023.

Olentangy Berlin's victory bumped their record up to 10-6. As for Olentangy Orange, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season.

Olentangy Berlin will head out to face off against Hilliard Darby at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Hilliard Darby's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while Olentangy Berlin has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road. As for Olentangy Orange, they will host Hilliard Davidson at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Olentangy Orange is facing Hilliard Davidson at the right time seeing as Hilliard Davidson is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
