WHITEHALL, Pa. -
Parkland (Allentown, Pa.) snapped the six-game winning streak of
Whitehall (Pa.), with a 27-10 victory on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a touchdown pass by
Devante Cross to
Elijah Redmond in the second quarter, the Trojans were up 10-3 at the half.
Parkland expanded its lead to 17 points entering the fourth quarter. PHS scored two times in the third, including once on a field goal.
With the win the Allentown school extended its winning streak to 10 games. Parkland defeated Stroudsburg 35-21 last week.
Whitehall's lone touchdown came on a 1-yard run in the fourth quarter.
The Trojans had given up an average of 11.5 points prior to the contest.
When the two teams played each other last season, Parkland came away with a 52-23 victory.
The defeat comes as a step back for Whitehall, who notched a 56-28 victory over Pleasant Valley in its previous outing.
