Colton and Prescott are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2017, but not for long. The Colton Wildcats will head out on the road to square off against the Prescott Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with 12 consecutive losses for Colton and 23 for Prescott dating back to last season.
Colton pushed their score all the way to 56 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 62-56 to St. John-Endicott/LaCrosse, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Colton in their matchups with St. John-Endicott/LaCrosse: they've now lost nine in a row.
Meanwhile, Prescott lost to Dayton on the road by a decisive 57-39 margin on Tuesday.
Colton bumped their record down to 2-17 with that loss, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Prescott, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-9.
Everything came up roses for Colton against Prescott in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 as the squad secured a 48-20 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Colton since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
