Brennan Scott and Ryan Morgan provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Cedar Crest. The connection went for 90 yards, the longest such play in Lancaster-Lebanon 1 this season.
Penn Manor extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating J.P. McCaskey, 42-14. The victory was the sixth in a row for the Comets.
Manheim Township's dynamic duo of Scott and Tyler Karpinski proved tough for the Falcons to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Scott threw for 380 yards and two touchdowns and Karpinski had 257 yards receiving. Morgan helped Manheim Township's passing attack out by catching two balls for 98 yards.
Carmelo Cruz was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 134 yards on five carries as Lancaster Catholic bested Cedar Crest. Roman Clay also contributed to the rushing game with 109 yards on the ground.
Manheim Township's Scott and Karpinski have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading Lancaster-Lebanon 1 in both passing and receiving yards. Scott has thrown for 1323 yards this season, while Karpinski, a 5-foot-10 receiver, has 41 catches for 734 yards. Clay from the Crusaders leads the league in rushing with 1173 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Penn Manor takes on Mark Evans' team. At the moment, Todd Mealy's team is in first, while the Blue Streaks are in third.
Wilson took down Hempfield 56-6 last week, the largest margin of any game. Kevin Weller threw for 150 yards and three touchdowns and ran for six yards in the win.
