Casa Roble extended their winning streak to three on Friday, bumping them up to 4-1. They breezed past the Woodland Wolves to the tune of 45-14. With the Rams ahead 28-0 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Casa Roble to victory, but perhaps none more so than Aidan Lopez, who threw for 220 yards and five TDs. That's the most passing touchdowns Lopez has posted since back in October of 2024. Jaylan Barcenas helped Lopez out on the ground, rushing for 103 yards on only eight carries, while also catching one score.
Special teams also deserves some recognition, posting 13 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Tariq Lofton, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.
Casa Roble didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Karter Coss.
As for Woodland, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-6. While losing is never fun, they can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 796th, while Casa Roble is ranked 193rd).
Although Woodland took the loss, they still got scores from Joe Abarca and Cohen Dwyer.
