The Rosman Tigers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their seventh straight loss. Their tough 68-46 defeat to Avery County might stick with them for a while. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Rosman has suffered against Avery County since December 14, 2021.
Loss or not, Rosman got some senior leadership from Kaesyn Mccoy and Mason Meece. Mccoy dropped a double-double on 23 points and ten rebounds, while Meece. scored 12 points along with two steals. That was a full 50% of Rosman's points, marking the fourth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Rosman has been struggling recently, as they've lost nine of their last 11 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-12 record this season. As for Avery County, their win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-11.
Rosman will challenge Mountain Heritage at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Mountain Heritage knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past eight contests -- so hopefully Rosman likes a good challenge. As for Avery County, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Draughn at 8:00 p.m. One thing working in Draughn's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four games.
