The Big Sandy Wildcats entered their tilt with the Union Grove Lions with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Big Sandy took their contest at home on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 74-30 win over the Lions. This was payback for Big Sandy, who suffered a 73-72 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Big Sandy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Malijah Francis out in front who scored 23 points along with six rebounds and four steals. Francis has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last eight times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Trey Coleman, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds.
Big Sandy's win bumped their record up to 11-13. As for Union Grove, they now have a losing record at 12-13.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing McLeod the next time they take the court. Big Sandy will head out to face the Longhorns at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while the Lions will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
