Show Low is a perfect 5-0 against Alchesay since April of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Cougars will welcome the Falcons at 6:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Show Low barely beat Payson the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Cougars blew past the Longhorns 17-3 on Thursday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cougars.
Easton Hatch was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He tossed four innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Hatch was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-5.

In other batting news, Nick Hall was a standout: he scored four runs and stole a base while going 4-for-5. Those four runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Mason Bigos, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-5.
Show Low kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Payson only managed six hits.
Meanwhile, Alchesay got the win against Holbrook on Tuesday by a conclusive 10-4.
Like Show Low, Alchesay also got a great game from a two-way player: Chez Massey. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing six innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off seven hits. Massey was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and one stolen base.
In other batting news, Pockets Endfield was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing five bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Kyrin Ivins was another key player, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one stolen base and one RBI.
Show Low's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-6. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Alchesay, their win bumped their record up to 12-4.
Tuesday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Show Low has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .451. However, it's not like Alchesay struggles in that department as they've averaged .529. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Show Low's way against Alchesay in their previous matchup back in April of 2022, as Show Low made off with a 19-2 victory. Do the Cougars have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Falcons turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
