Mountain View hasn't had much luck against Northridge recently, but that could start to change on Friday. Having just played yesterday, the Mountain View Mountain Lions will head out on the road to face off against the Northridge Grizzlies at 5:30 p.m. Northridge took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Mountain View, who comes in off a win.
On Thursday, Mountain View strolled past Thornton with points to spare, taking the game 46-30. That 16 point margin sets a new team best for the Mountain Lions this season.

Marlene Carrillo was the offensive standout of the matchup as she dropped a double-double on 14 points and 12 rebounds. She is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last six games she's played. Teagan Bauer was another key player, putting up three points along with seven boards and five steals.
Meanwhile, Northridge came up short against Greeley Central on Tuesday and fell 45-36. The Grizzlies were down 39-14 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Mountain View will need focus on slowing down Sophia Carbajal, one of several Northridge players who made an impact when they last played. She dropped a double-double on 11 points and 18 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Bailey McGeen, who posted 14 points.
Even though they lost, Northridge smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in nine consecutive contests.
Northridge dropped their record down to 4-6 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Mountain View, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-7.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Mountain View has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 30 boards per game. However, it's not like Northridge struggles in that department as they've been averaging 36.7 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Mountain View came up short against Northridge in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, falling 56-48. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Carbajal, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and ten boards.
