Angola has gone 8-2 against Garrett recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Hornets will head out on the road to square off against the Railroaders at 7:30 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Angola got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Niles Knox out in front who dropped a double-double with 14 points and 13 rebounds. Knox has been hot, having posted eight or more boards the last seven times he's played. Another player making a difference was Jacob Fraley, who posted 13 points.
Angola smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 23 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in seven consecutive matchups dating back to last season.
Meanwhile, Garrett hadn't done well against Fremont recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Railroaders claimed a resounding 76-39 win over the Eagles. The Railroaders' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Angola better keep an eye on Carter Coffman. He was instrumental in Garrett's win, going 6-for-10 from beyond the arc en route to 27 points and five steals. What's more, Coffman also posted a 60% three-point shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's achieved since back in December of 2024. Aiden Reed was another key player, shooting 71% from the field to rack up 11 points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals.
Garrett's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Angola, their record is now 4-0.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Angola has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 32.5 boards per game. However, it's not like Garrett struggles in that department as they've been averaging 24.8 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Angola came up short against Garrett when the teams last played back in March, falling 46-41. Can the Hornets avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
