Southeastern Local and West Jefferson are an even 3-3 against one another since January of 2018, but not for long. The Southeastern Local Trojans will head out on the road to square off against the West Jefferson Roughriders at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Southeastern Local will be strutting in after a win while West Jefferson will be coming in after a loss.
Last Friday, Southeastern Local was able to grind out a solid win over Mechanicsburg, taking the game 49-36.
West Jefferson suffered their biggest defeat since December 12, 2023 on Tuesday. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 62-39 walloping at the hands of Greeneview. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for West Jefferson in their matchups with Greeneview: they've now lost four in a row.
Southeastern Local's win bumped their record up to 7-5. As for West Jefferson, they bumped their record down to 2-11 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road.
Everything went Southeastern Local's way against West Jefferson in their previous meeting back in January of 2023 as Southeastern Local made off with a 50-24 win. With Southeastern Local ahead 25-5 at the half, the game was all but over already.
