Dunellen has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will take on East Brunswick Vo-Tech at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. In what's become a running theme this season, Dunellen gave their fans yet another huge win on Saturday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 48-21 win over Perth Amboy Vo-Tech. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as Dunellen just coasted through the last quarter.
Dunellen got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Brielle Villanueva-Jadotte out in front who dropped a double-double on ten rebounds and ten steals. Villanueva-Jadotte has been hot recently, having posted nine or more rebounds the last 11 times she's played. Wendy Woll was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with four steals.
Meanwhile, East Brunswick Vo-Tech's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their sixth straight defeat. They took a 25-15 hit to the loss column at the hands of Mother Seton.
Dunellen is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 15 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season. As for East Brunswick Vo-Tech, their defeat was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-12.
Everything came up roses for Dunellen against the when the teams last played back in January as the squad secured a 56-11 victory. With Dunellen ahead 28-3 at the half, the match was all but over already.
