The Northwestern Wildcats lost against the Bowie Bulldogs back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Northwestern took a serious blow against Bowie, falling 66-12. It was the first time this season that Northwestern let down their fans at home.
Bowie got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Tatiana Munford out in front who scored 16 points. That's the first time this season that Munford scored 15 or more points. Damilola Funsho was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with five rebounds.
Northwestern's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 4-2. As for Bowie, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.
Northwestern will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Patuxent at 10:30 a.m. on December 28th. Bowie's road trip will continue as they head out to face Leonardtown at 12:00 p.m. on December 28th.
