Carson Melendy Delivers Best Performance of Season
On Friday, Churchill County got the W thanks in part to Carson Melendy playing the best football he has all season. Melendy rushed for 221 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.1 yards per carry, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. His longest rush was for an incredible 80 yards.
Churchill County now has a winning record of 5-4. Melendy and Churchill County will head out on the road to face off against Lowry at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Truckee Wins 22nd-Straight Thanks to Jace Estabrook
Jace Estabrook was instrumental in extending Truckee's winning streak to 22 on Friday. Estabrook turned in his biggest game of the season, throwing for 167 yards and five touchdowns while completing 90% of his passes, and also rushing for 70 yards and a touchdown on only six carries.
Unfortunately for Sparks, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Estabrook. When Estabrook last faced the Railroaders back in October of 2023, he rushed for 45 yards and three touchdowns, and also threw for 12 yards and a touchdown.

A Season-Best Effort from Joseph Bright Leads Spring Creek over Fernley
On Friday, Spring Creek got the W thanks in part to Joseph Bright playing the best football he has all season. Bright rushed for 75 yards and two touchdowns on only five carries. The performance marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in August. Spring Creek is 2-1 when Bright posts two or more rushing touchdowns, but 2-4 otherwise.
Spring Creek has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 4-5 record this season. Their homestand will continue as they prepare to take on Elko at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
