Homewood is a perfect 6-0 against Minor since April of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Patriots will host the Tigers at 6:30 p.m. Homewood is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games.

Last Friday, Homewood beat John Carroll Catholic 3-1. The final result isn't all the surprising considering Homewood's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama soccer rankings (they are ranked sixth, while John Carroll Catholic are ranked 53rd).

Meanwhile, Minor fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against Bessemer City on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of Bessemer City by a score of 2-1. Minor hasn't had much luck with Bessemer City recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

Homewood pushed their record up to 18-2 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 48 goals over those seven games. As for Minor, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-8-2.

Everything went Homewood's way against Minor when the teams last played back in March, as Homewood made off with a 10-0 victory. Do the Patriots have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Tigers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
