Frankfort put the finishing touches on their 3rd blowout victory of the season last week. They took the contest and then some with a 54-6 victory over Doniphan West. The Frankfort offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the matchup anyway.
Meanwhile, there's no need to mince words: Wetmore lost to Blue Valley, and they lost bad. The score wound up at 14-60. Wetmore were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 8-28.
Frankfort's win lifted them to 3-0 while Wetmore's loss dropped them down to 1-2. In their win, Frankfort relied heavily on junior Branden Bussmann, who rushed for 88 yards and 3 touchdowns. Wetmore will need to find a way to minimize his impact if they want to win.
