It was a good run, but the Cartersville Hurricanes unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell 65-52 to Dalton. Cartersville has not had much luck with the Catamounts recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Several Hurricanes players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kaytlin Arnold, who scored 18 points along with three steals. Arnold has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Taff Bradley, who scored eight points along with six rebounds and four blocks.
Cartersville's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-10. As for Dalton, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season.
Cartersville's homestand continues as they prepare to take on the Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on February 2nd. Woodland has now lost eight straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since January 6. Dalton is on the road again on Friday and plays the Colonels at 7:00 p.m. on February 2nd.
