South Gwinnett is a perfect 10-0 against Newton since April of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The South Gwinnett Comets will look to defend their home pitch against the Newton Rams at 5:30 p.m. Newton took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on South Gwinnett, who comes in off a win.

South Gwinnett's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 6-0 margin over Archer. The high-scoring effort was just what the Comets needed considering they were shutout in their previous contest.

They hit Archer with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Alondra Cruz (2), Lauren Ward (2), Emily Sanchez-Rodriguez, and Naomi Calvillo.

Meanwhile, Newton was not able to break out of their rough patch last Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of Rockdale County.

Newton's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for South Gwinnett, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Everything went South Gwinnett's way against Newton in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, as South Gwinnett made off with a 9-0 win. Does South Gwinnett have another victory up their sleeve, or will Newton turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
