Hortonville had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 33.3 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Monday. They wrapped up 2024 with a 96-81 win over the West De Pere Phantoms. That's more bragging rights for the Polar Bears, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Hortonville's victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for West De Pere, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-3 record this season.

Hortonville will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Kimberly at 7:00 p.m. on January 28, 2025. As for West De Pere, they will challenge Menasha at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. West De Pere knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Menasha likes a good challenge.
