It's playoff time, and Oxford had no trouble coming through when it counted. They walked away with a 37-27 win over the Horn Lake Eagles on Friday. The victory was nothing new for the Chargers as they're now sitting on eight straight.

Leading Oxford to victory were Knox Kiffin and Demar Jamerson. Kiffin rushed for 76 yards and one touchdown on only eight carries, while Jamerson gained 151 total yards and a touchdown. The dominant performance also gave Kiffin a new career-high in passing yards (202).

Oxford didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Horn Lake to a completion percentage of just 50%. The Chargers weren't nearly as limited: they posted one of 60%.

When it comes to explaining why Horn Lake lost, don't look at Floyd Sinegal. Despite the final result, he rushed for 212 yards and one TD while picking up 9.6 yards per carry. The team also got some help courtesy of Jason Edwards Jr, who threw for 166 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Oxford's win bumped their record up to 11-1. As for Horn Lake, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 8-4.

Coming up, Oxford is taking a road trip to face off against Tupelo at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Golden Wave's defense has only allowed 13.6 points per game this season, so the Chargers' offense will have their work cut out for them. Horn Lake does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
