In other batting news, Harris County got a massive performance out of Ashton Herring, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Harris County's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-2. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 8.7 runs. As for Russell County, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.
Russell County's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Harris County hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .335. It's a different story for Russell County, though, as they've only averaged .257. Will they be able to contain Harris County's hitters?
Harris County took their victory against Russell County when the teams last played back in February of 2024 by a conclusive 10-1.
