The Tecumseh Braves posted their biggest victory since December 29, 2023 on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Pike Central 57-30 on the road. Given Tecumseh's advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 138th, while Pike Central is ranked 332nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Alena Holder continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 21 points along with five assists and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Ava Kissel, who scored eight points along with four steals.
Despite the loss, Pike Central saw an underclassman step up: Ava Miller scored 14 points along with seven rebounds.
Tecumseh's win bumped their record up to 13-10. As for Pike Central, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-20.
Tecumseh on the road again on Tuesday and play against Wood Memorial at 6:30 p.m. on January 30th. Pike Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
