Allen East unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a 65-47 bruising from Liberty-Benton. Allen East has struggled against Liberty-Benton recently, as their match on Saturday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Allen East got a solid performance out of Carson Clum, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 11 rebounds. Clum is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Brady Brooks, who scored eight points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, Crestview scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They came out on top against Purcell Marian by a score of 78-71. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Allen East's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Crestview, their victory bumped their record up to 9-5.
