The Northside Eagles's six-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They came out on top against Lee County by a score of 38-31. The win was just what Northside needed coming off of a 81-43 defeat in their prior contest.
Several Trojans players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Bayyinah Citlak, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Taliyah Porter was another key contributor, scoring two points along with 11 rebounds and four steals.
Lee County struggled to work together and finished the game with only two assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Northside's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-11. As for Lee County, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-12.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northside won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Houston County at 4:00 p.m. on January 20th.
