The Indianapolis Metropolitan Pumas scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They walked away with a 91-84 victory over Riverside. The victory was just what Indianapolis Metropolitan needed coming off of a 78-51 loss in their prior contest.
Indianapolis Metropolitan's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Landon Petty, who scored 19 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. RJ Smith was another key contributor, scoring 26 points along with five rebounds.
Riverside lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Bini Hopper, who scored 27 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hopper has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Ty Hopper, who scored 20 points.
Indianapolis Metropolitan's win bumped their record up to 7-9. As for Riverside, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season.
Indianapolis Metropolitan will head out on the road to take on Indiana Math & Science Academy North at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Riverside's road trip will continue as they head out to face Eminence on January 24th. Eminence has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
