Notre Dame Prep scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 51-49 victory over St. John's Catholic Prep. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Notre Dame Prep also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.
Several Vikings players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Nadia Ferguson, who scored 21 points. The matchup was Ferguson's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Isabella Wilson, who scored 15 points.
The win got Notre Dame Prep back to even at 2-2. As for St. John's Catholic Prep, their loss dropped their record down to 8-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Notre Dame Prep will take on Bryn Mawr at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Maryland (Bryn Mawr is ranked 100th, while Notre Dame Prep is ranked 123rd). As for St. John's Catholic Prep, they will be playing in front of their home fans against John Carroll at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
