Lakeland is 0-1 against Knox since October of 2022 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Lakeland Lakers will play host again and welcome the Knox Redskins, where kick-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
Last Friday, Lakeland ended up a good deal behind Bluffton and lost 32-14.
Even though the team lost, they still came through with several impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Keyan Arroyo, who picked up 130 receiving yards and a touchdown. Arroyo was no stranger to the big play, cutting upfield for a catch that went for 67 yards. Carson Mickem was another key contributor, gaining 138 total yards and a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Knox put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their undefeated season alive. They blew past Caston 50-0 on the road. The result was nothing new for Knox, who have now won six contests by 29 points or more so far this season.
Lakeland's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Knox, their win was their eighth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which bumped their overall record up to 9-0.
Lakeland was dealt a bruising 65-28 loss at the hands of Knox in their previous matchup back in October of 2022. Will Lakeland have more luck at home instead of on the road?
