After a string of three wins dating back to last season, the Ware Indians's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They had to suffer through a rough 52-25 loss at the hands of Franklin County Tech. Ware was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Franklin County Tech apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2019.
It was another big night for Lea Chapman, who scored 19 points along with seven rebounds and four steals for Franklin County Tech. Chapman is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. Kaitlin Trudeau was another key contributor, scoring five points along with five rebounds and five steals.
Ware's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Franklin County Tech, they pushed their record up to 8-2 with that win, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season.
Ware will take on Turners Falls at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Franklin County Tech, they will head out on the road to face off against Putnam Vo-Tech at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
