Mountain Range is on a 12-game streak of home losses (dating back to last season), Northglenn a three-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. The Mountain Range Mustangs will take on the Northglenn Norsemen at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
Last Saturday, Mountain Range took a serious blow against Poudre, falling 61-22. While losing is never fun, Mountain Range can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 202nd, while Poudre is ranked 67th).
Despite their loss, Mountain Range saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Josieraye Running Wolf, who scored seven points along with two steals, was perhaps the best of all.
Meanwhile, Northglenn lost to Bear Creek at home by a decisive 54-38 margin on Monday. Northglenn has not had much luck with Bear Creek recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Mountain Range has been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season. As for Northglenn, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-12.
Mountain Range beat Northglenn 43-30 in their previous matchup back in December of 2023. Does Mountain Range have another victory up their sleeve, or will Northglenn turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
