Basketball Game Preview: Cleveland Rams vs. Southeast Raleigh Bulldogs

Cleveland hasn't had much luck against Southeast Raleigh recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Cleveland Rams will host the Southeast Raleigh Bulldogs at 6:15 p.m.

Cleveland is headed into Friday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game on Monday. They fell 55-46 to Green Level. The contest was a 23-23 toss-up at halftime, but the Rams couldn't quite close it out.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Martina Paz-Aquino, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 16 rebounds. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 8.5 boards per game. Nevaeh Cannon was another key player, going 6 of 10 en route to 14 points and five steals.

Meanwhile, Southeast Raleigh waltzed into their game on Friday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Trojans 70-22. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 46-16.

Southeast Raleigh's win came from a few key players Cleveland will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Trinity Dunn, who posted 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Korryn Davis, who scored 16 points.

Southeast Raleigh pushed their record up to 14-1 with the victory, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.5 points per game. As for Cleveland, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-9.
