The Grace Christian Crusaders put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Terry Sanford 85-44 on the road. Grace Christian's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Leading Grace Christian to victory were Icyss Storm and Sarah Strong. Storm scored 25 points along with nine rebounds, while Strong dropped a double-double on 23 points and 29 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Storm has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Miyah Campbell, who scored 13 points along with two steals.
Several Bulldogs players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Breonna Roaf, who scored ten points along with five assists and two steals. Roaf is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Rebecca Kaba was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Grace Christian pushed their record up to 18-0 with that victory, which was their 16th straight on the road dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.2 points per game. As for Terry Sanford, their loss ended a ten-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 9-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Grace Christian will challenge Wesleyan Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Wesleyan Christian Academy is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. As for Terry Sanford, they will head out on the road to face off against E.E. Smith at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully E.E. Smith focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 last Wednesday.
