The Tanner Rattlers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They blew past Whitesburg Christian Academy 79-58. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Skylar Townsend continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 25 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of TreJ lett, who scored ten points along with six rebounds.
Tanner now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Whitesburg Christian Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-10.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tanner will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Lindsay Lane Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on January 25th. As for Whitesburg Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to take on Alabama School of Cyber Technology and Engineering at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
