The Stillwater Christian Cougars will challenge the Billings Christian Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Stillwater Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 14 matches -- so hopefully Billings Christian likes a good challenge.
Stillwater Christian was handed a heart-breaking three-point loss in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against Varsity Opponent on Friday. Stillwater Christian put the hurt on Varsity Opponent with a sharp 76-52 victory. The Cougars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten games by 21 points or more this season.

Stillwater Christian got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Ryan Buzzard out in front who went 10-for-17 to rack up 24 points along with eight assists and six steals. That's the most steals Buzzard has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Elijah Linn, who shot 5-for-9 from downtown and dropped a double-double with 17 points and 13 rebounds.
Stillwater Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in nine consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, it can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Billings Christian had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They blew past the Rams 72-45. The victory continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Rams: they've now won eight in a row.
Billings Christian's win came from a few key players Stillwater Christian will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Gabe Jones, who went 7-for-14 en route to 18 points and three steals. The contest was his ninth in a row with at least 15 points. Trevin Sweet was another key player, dropping a double-double with 11 points and 12 boards.
Stillwater Christian is on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.2 points over those games. Billings Christian's record is now 17-4.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Stillwater Christian has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 36.1 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Billings Christian struggles in that department as they've been averaging 39.6 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Stillwater Christian didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Billings Christian in their previous meeting back in February of 2022, but they still walked away with a 60-56 win. Will Stillwater Christian repeat their success, or does Billings Christian have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
