The Providence Prep Rams's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They took a 34-16 bruising from Grace Academy. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Providence Prep has scored all season.
Providence Prep's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Lilly Hodge, who scored seven points along with eight steals and seven rebounds, and Daphne Patrick who scored seven points along with six rebounds and two steals. Hodge hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games.
Providence Prep has been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season. As for Grace Academy, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Providence Prep will square off against Valor Preparatory Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Valor Preparatory Academy has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Grace Academy's road trip will continue as they head out to face Austin Royals HomeSchool at 6:15 p.m. on January 19th.
