The Plum Mustangs will head out on the road to take on the Woodland Hills Wolverines at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Plum is no doubt hoping to put an end to a seven-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
Plum pushed their score all the way to 55 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They received a tough blow as they fell 70-55 to Fox Chapel. While losing is never fun, Plum can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 399th, while the Foxes are ranked 126th).
Meanwhile, Woodland Hills pushed their score all the way to 55 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 67-55 to Shaler Area.
Plum has not been sharp recently as the team's lost nine of their last 12 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season. As for Woodland Hills, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-11.
Plum came up short against the Wolverines when the teams last played back in January, falling 57-45. Can Plum avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
