Dunmore is 2-8 against Old Forge since April of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Bucks will welcome the Blue Devils at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
On Friday, Dunmore earned an 8-4 victory over Riverside. The win continues a trend for the Bucks in their matchups with the Vikings: they've now won four in a row.

Rachel Walsh was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She struck out 11 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in March. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.
In other batting news, Emily McGowan was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March. Paige Ancherani was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI.
Dunmore was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .429. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Riverside only posted a batting average of .160.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Old Forge). They were the clear victors by an 18-3 margin over Honesdale on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Blue Devils, who have now won seven matches by six runs or more so far this season.
Joselyn DeStefano was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Arnold, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI.
Old Forge pushed their record up to 7-8 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Dunmore, their victory bumped their record up to 10-6.
Old Forge's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Monday. Dunmore has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.9 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Old Forge, though, as they've been averaging only 2.9 strikeouts. Will Dunmore keep running through batters, or will the Blue Devils buck the trend?
Dunmore might still be hurting after the 13-7 loss they got from Old Forge when the teams last played back in April. Will the Bucks have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more softball content.
