If The Amite County Trojans were riding high off their 44-0 takedown of the West Lincoln Bears last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Amite County was beaten by Clarkdale 36-8 on Friday. Having soared to a lofty 44 points in the game before, Amite County couldn't push the score so high this time.
Markell Smith threw for 91 yards and a touchdown. Kevin Bailey was his top target, picking up 32 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Amite County's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Clarkdale, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-6.
Amite County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Clarkdale is on the road again on Friday and play against Raleigh at 7:00 p.m. on November 10th. One thing working in Raleigh's favor is that they have now posted big point totals in their last five contests.
