Donahue Catholic has enjoyed the comforts of home their last four games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will take on the Neumann Celtics at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Donahue Catholic focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Saturday.
Both teams squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but sadly Donahue Catholic had to settle for second. They fell to the Celtics 52-46.
Despite their defeat, Donahue Catholic saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Paul Berg, who scored ten points, was perhaps the best of all. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Berg has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Erling Berg, who scored 12 points along with two steals.
Donahue Catholic struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Donahue Catholic's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 18-4. As for Neumann, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 14-11 record this season.
Donahue Catholic came up short against Neumann in their previous meeting on Saturday, falling 52-46. Can Donahue Catholic avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
