Basketball Recap: Northern Burlington Piles Up the Points Against Pemberton

Northern Burlington won the last time they faced Pemberton and things went their way on Saturday too. The Northern Burlington Greyhounds blew past the Pemberton Hornets 66-35. The Greyhounds have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 games by 22 points or more this season.

Northern Burlington's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Maleeya Brammer led the charge by dropping a double-double with 24 points and 12 rebounds. Brammer has been hot recently, having also posted two or more blocks the last four times she's played. Emmalee Nazario was another key player, going 7-for-13 to rack up 15 points and seven steals.

Northern Burlington's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-7. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.0 points over those games. As for Pemberton, they are on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-11.

Looking ahead, Northern Burlington will challenge Camden Catholic at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Pemberton, they will face off against West Deptford at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
