Indianapolis Metropolitan has struggled against Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory recently, as their matchup on Tuesday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
When it comes to explaining why Indianapolis Metropolitan lost, one person who can't be blamed is Landon Petty. Despite the final result, he scored 21 points along with five rebounds and two blocks. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Petty has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Leo Petty, who scored nine points along with five rebounds.
Even though they lost, Indianapolis Metropolitan smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory only pulled down four offensive rebounds.
Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Evan Haywood, who scored 20 points along with eight rebounds. Haywood has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last nine times he's played. Another player making a difference was Quinn Warren, who scored 16 points along with two steals and two blocks.
Indianapolis Metropolitan's defeat dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-4.
