After flying high against the Gustine Reds on Wednesday, the McQueen Lancers came back down to earth. McQueen was dealt a 91-49 loss at the hands of Rocklin on Thursday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points McQueen has scored all season.
Despite the loss, McQueen saw an underclassman step up: Kade Snyder scored 21 points along with eight rebounds. Snyder scored a full 42.9% of McQueen's points, the sixth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Torrie Simmons, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds.
McQueen has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season. As for Rocklin, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 17-0.
McQueen and El Camino will face off at 6:30 p.m. on December 29, 2023 without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. El Camino is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 57.9 points per game.
