Maine South won the last time they faced Deerfield and things went their way on Friday too. The Maine South Hawks blew past the Deerfield Warriors 72-45. The Hawks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 matches by 21 points or more this season.

When it comes to explaining why Deerfield lost, don't look at Eve Engler. Despite the final result, she went 7-for-17 en route to 26 points and seven boards. Engler's evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Shir Paz, who posted five points.

Maine South is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 21-8 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.0 points over those games.
