Basketball Recap: Old Mill Comes Up Short

It was fun while it lasted, but Old Mill's undefeated season came to an end after three games on Tuesday. They took a hard 61-45 fall against the Landon Bears. The loss was the Patriots' first of the season.

When it comes to explaining why Old Mill lost, don't look at Brian Poore. Despite the final result, he posted 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of George Simms, who had seven points.

Having lost for the first time this season, Old Mill fell to 3-1. As for Landon, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

Old Mill will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Northeast on January 3, 2025. Landon and Whitman will compete for holiday cheer at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Whitman is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 63.8 points per game this season.
