Celebration and Harmony are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2016, but not for long. The Celebration Storm will head out on the road to challenge the Harmony Longhorns at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Celebration is hoping to put an end to an 11-game streak of away losses.
Last Wednesday, things could have been worse for Celebration, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 66-49 loss to Harmony. While losing is never fun, Celebration can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 657th, while Harmony is ranked 83rd).
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Kendley Jean, who scored ten points along with nine rebounds and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jedaiah Sankitts, who scored 17 points along with two steals.
Celebration has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost nine of their last ten contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-14 record this season. As for Harmony, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-3.
Celebration ended up a good deal behind Harmony in their previous matchup on Wednesday, losing 66-49. Can Celebration avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
